Recently, 3rd and 4th Class went on a local history trip where they visited the historical and monastic site in Monasterboice of the Round Tower and High Crosses before travelling to Oldbridge to learn about the Battle of the Boyne. Here, they were treated to a guided tour, a laser show, a cinema screening of a reenactment of The Battle of the Boyne and even got to explore some of the weapons used in the battle. The pupils had a fantastic fun-filled and educational day and thankfully, the sun shone throughout the day.
